Working as a qigong teacher can be challenging, so it’s important to have a network behind you that supports you in your personal and professional development.
This support network is part of you Teachers Membership and it comprises of three main strands:
Specialist Training and Teachers Weekends
Throughout the year we offer teachers weekends in which we can meet as equals in order to share experiences and ideas, lead each other in practice and enjoy being part of a truly open and supportive group of qigong teachers.
In addition to this, we are constantly looking to develop specialist training both in person and online. Keep an eye on the mailings for more information.
Peer Support
One of the best places to get support is through a network or peers. In this space we can find mutual support both in the informal and formal approaches offered through the Qigong Academy’s approach.
- Informal support is through the WhatsApp Teachers Group
- Formal support is through the Qigong Academy’s Peer Supervision structure.
You can access the WhatsApp group and the Peer Supervision Model using the buttons below:
Mentoring
Unlike coaching, which tends to be a short term relationship, driven by the coach in order to achieve specific goals, mentoring tends to be a more holistic, mentee driven approach that forms part of a longer term, supportive relationship.
While the whole teacher’s membership package is focussed on supporting and nurturing you as a qigong teacher, sometimes situations arise in which you want to share your challenges, questions or vision with someone in a more structured, confidential setting. Engaging with people who may have a broader range of experience through a mentoring session is a highly effective way of developing as a teacher and is something we offer.
If you have Enhanced Membership you can take two free mentoring sessions in a year as part of your package. If you are on a standard or basic package, these sessions are chargeable. In either scenario, please use the option below to book your session.
