Having been introduced to Qigong in 1997 by my Reiki teacher, I immediately knew it was something that made sense to me. I started searching for a teacher and was soon studying with some amazing teachers from China, the UK and Australasia.
Over the next 12 years I studied in 7 different styles of qigong, being sanctioned to teach in 4 of those styles, but fairly quickly it became clear that I needed to devote myself to a single form, and the form that worked best for me was Zhineng Qigong.
Since becoming a full time teacher in 2010, Zhineng Qigong has provided me with the depth of practice, and the flexibility of approach to work with a broad range of clients.

- As one of the co-founders of the 3 Monkeys School of Qigong, I have been training qigong teachers since 2013. This work also led to teaching collaborations with Jianshe Liu from Hexianju Qigong Centre, Lu and Ling of Dao Qi World, Gao Yuan of Big Qi Field, and a few other well regarded Chinese Qigong centres.
- On the Corporate side, a decade of working in Leadership Development, Soft Skills Training and Wellbeing has led to an international reputation as an innovative, engaging training and speaker who brings a broad range of business understanding together with Qigong in order to create real change.
- In Integrative Medicine, close ties with the College of Medicine, led to collaborations with the University of Wales Trinity St David and University of Central Lancashire before getting involved in long term academic and medical research with the University of Southampton and Oxford Health around the use of Qigong in a western medical setting.
- Working with one of the UK’s leading Parkinson’s charities has also led to the development of new approaches to bringing Qigong into the Parkinson’s community and the development of training for Qigong teachers to work in similar ways.
I believe that Qigong should be simple enough to be accessible while being profound enough to offer constant learning and insight. It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been practicing , we are all learning and we can all learn from each other.
