Qigong Teacher Training
Supporting you to become a safe, effective and authentic teacher.
How does it work?
We work with you to develop your personal practice, teaching skills and understanding of the practicalities of working as a self-employed qigong teacher.
We understand that people learn in different ways, we know that different people are ready to teach at different points on their journey, and we work with you, at your pace, to make it possible for your to achieve your goals.
In addition to this, we are also keen to offer our training to a wide range of people and from 2024 we are offering two tracks through our training programme.
- Full Accreditation – This is the original, complete programme that runs for 8 months and includes two face to face training weekends that can now be taken at any point during your training.
- Teachers Top-up – If you’re already accredited to teach through another programme, you can choose to take one of our online modules that form part of the full accreditation without the need to complete the homework aspects and without the associated feedback. The modules are outlined at the bottom of this page.
Training Overview
We believe that it’s important for a qigong teachers to have a high enough level of gong fu (attainment within the practice) to understand the true nature of the practice, while also possessing the skills needed to make the practice accessible, interesting and transformative to a broad range of clients.
Traditional methods tended to favour building the gong fu to a point of understanding without passing on the more subtle teaching skills, while the more modern, western approaches to teaching qigong tend to bypass the need for a deep understanding of the practice. Neither approach is particularly effective in a modern western world and this is why we have developed our course using the structure outlined in the prospectus below.
Blended Learning
While the online space has its limitations, it’s benefits are undeniable. It has become the glue that holds us together as a community and, as a result, we embrace it within our training.
As well engaging with your peers and a range of other qigong teachers, we use the online space to offer pre-recorded and live lectures, there are regular online practice sessions and we also use online tools for ongoing mentoring and support.
For the in-person training, we ask you to commit 2 weekends to us for the Common Core.

The Common Core training will take place at the University of Wales’s Campus in Swansea while the Specialist Training will vary.
Dates
Core Training will start with an in person weekend on 7th/8th September 2024 and will then run through the online training schedule (detailed in the prospectus below) concluding with another in person weekend on the 10th/11th May 2025

Benefits of Teaching
Growing Demand
It has been said that Qigong is fast becoming the new yoga. Of course, both Qigong and yoga have existed for thousands of years, so neither is new. However, as people look for efficient ways to deal with growing pressures and improve their health and happiness, Qigong is fast being re-discovered, and there is a growing demand for quality teachers.
Work you Enjoy
Many people are looking for ways to ‘step off’ the rat race and find something enjoyable and meaningful to do for work. Qigong not only reduces your stress as you teach, but it also helps others achieve the same. As a qigong teacher, you will help others live healthier and happier lives.
Freedom
No more being tied to a desk or long hours of work. As a qigong teacher, you can choose when and where to work. Online teaching is a growing business if you want to work from home, or you may prefer to develop in-person classes to help individuals, schools, sports clubs or businesses. The possibilities are endless. You have the freedom to choose.
Increased Income
If you like being your own boss, working when you want and taking charge of your income, then becoming a Qigong Teacher is a good way forward. Classes for Qigong usually range from £10-£25 per person per class, depending on your market. Class sizes average between 10 to 20 people. Of course, you don’t need to limit the number of people you teach.
Positive Peer Group
Qigong is not just a practice; it is a way of life. As a Qigong Teacher, we encourage you to adopt qigong principles into everything you do. As a result, your life will transform. We also appreciate that not everyone you know will be on the same path as you, which can present challenges. As passionate qigong practitioners, we will help bring your best to the world and situations.
